Classic Australian Pizza Recipes for your Venue

We share our favourite, classic Australian pizza recipes to help you build your perfect pizza menu. Packed with easy to follow recipes and our top tips so that you can make delicious Il Uno pizza, every time. Check out some of our easy recipes below, which can be made using any of our Il Uno Artisan Pizza Base ranges!

To make these recipes suitable for our 9” ranges, simply reduce the recipe by 1/3.

To adapt the recipe for our 6” Il Uno Artisan Margherita bases, simply halve the recipes!

We recommend defrosting your base for half an hour at room temperature (leave for no more than 2 hours!) or overnight in a refrigerator for the best results. Once defrosted, consume within 24-48 hours and do not re-freeze.

Pepperoni Pizza

Pepperoni Pizza:

Pepperoni is an old classic on any pizza menu. This delicious favourite can be ready in under 5 minutes!

What you need:
  • Il Uno Artisan 12” Margherita Pizza Base
  • 12 slices of pepperoni 
What you do:
Evenly layer your pepperoni slices over your Il Uno Margherita base. Bake, turning 180 degrees halfway through cooking. Remove your pizza from the oven, slice, then serve!

Hawaiian Pizza

Hawaiian Pizza:

Quite possibly the easiest of all pizza combos to make - this oh so delicious recipe is an Aussie favourite and great for kids!

What you need:
  • Il Uno Artisan 12" Margherita Pizza Base
  • 1/3 of a cup of diced pineapple
  • 1/4 of a cup of shredded or diced cooked ham 
What you do:
Evenly scatter the ham and pineapple over your Il Uno Margherita pizza base. Bake, turning 180 degrees halfway through cooking. Remove your pizza, slice and serve.

BBQ Meat Lovers Pizza

BBQ Meat Lovers Pizza:

Sometimes you just need a bit of indulgence! An Aussie favourite with three different kinds of meat, topped with a rich drizzle of BBQ sauce.

What you need:
  • Il Uno Artisan 12” Margherita Pizza Base
  • 1/4 of a cup of pepperoni of choice
  • 1/4 of a cup of cooked ground beef
  • 1/4 of a cup of diced or shredded ham
  • A swirl of BBQ sauce (1 tablespoon) 
What you do:
Top your Il Uno Margherita base with the cooked beef, ham, and pepperoni and start baking. Turn your pizza 180 degrees halfway through cooking and carefully remove from your Il Uno Express Oven. Serve with a generous swirl of BBQ sauce!

Gourmet Margherita Pizza
 

Gourmet Margherita Pizza:

Give the classic Margherita pizza a gourmet makeover, using a simple drizzle of balsamic glaze and a pinch of dried or fresh basil!

What you need:
  • Il Uno Artisan 12” Margherita Pizza Base
  • 1 teaspoon of balsamic glaze
  • 1/2 a teaspoon of dried basil/a handful of fresh basil leaves
What you do:
Bake your Il Uno Margherita base, turning 180 degrees halfway through cooking. Remove from your oven and drizzle with the balsamic glaze in a swift zigzag motion. Scatter with dried or shredded fresh basil and serve!

BBQ Chicken Pizza

BBQ Chicken Pizza:

This tangy BBQ chicken pizza is so simple to prepare and guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser!

What you need:
  • Il Uno Artisan 12” Margherita Pizza Base
  • 1/2 of a cup of cooked, shredded chicken
  • 1/4 of a cup of thinly sliced red or white onion
  • 1/4 of a cup of sliced button mushrooms
  • A swirl of BBQ sauce (1 tablespoon)
What you do:
Top your Il Uno Margherita base with the shredded chicken, red onion and mushrooms (if preferred, sauté the mushrooms and red onion before adding to your pizza for a bit of extra flavour). Turn your pizza 180 degrees halfway through cooking and carefully remove from the oven once cooked. Slice and serve with a swirl of BBQ sauce.
