3 Signature Pizza Recipes to make your Foodservice Venue Stand Out
Creating a signature pizza for your venue is a great way to increase traffic and differentiate your establishment from competitors. We've outlined three recipes for you below in order of ease; standard, which you can create with ingredients you already have on hand, a gourmet recipe, and finally, a premium pizza recipe, made with higher quality ingredients.
Why have a Signature Pizza Dish?
- It's an easy way to bring something fresh and new to your menu; by having a monthly signature dish, your customers will know to expect something new on the menu each time they visit.
- You can utilise simple ingredients that your already have on hand to create a unique menu item for your customers that they can't get anywhere else.
- You can advertise your dish on social media (simply take a picture with your phone camera) this can serve as a reminder to your customers to also visit your venue.
- Give your dish a unique name to inject some fun into your menu.
Standard: Cheeseburger Pizza
This easy recipe uses ingredients you'll already have on hand and tastes just like a cheeseburger (trust us!). It's so simple and ultra indulgent.
- Il Uno Artisan 12” Classic Margherita Pizza Base
- Red Onion - 40g
- Ground Beef - 90g
- Liquid American Cheese Sauce - 10g
- Dried Coriander - 1/2 tsp
Layer your red onion and ground beef over the pizza base and bake, turning 180 degrees halfway through cooking. Finish with liquid cheese and garnish with coriander if desired.
Gourmet: Loaded Antipasto Pizza
Serve a little slice of Italy with this rustic, gourmet, antipasto pizza. Inspired by the traditional first course, this recipe packs all of the best flavours into one big, tasty treat.
- Il Uno Artisan 12” Classic Margherita Pizza Base
- Prosciutto - 30g
- Artichoke Hearts - 90g
- Sliced Mushrooms - 20g
- Olives - 20g
- Parmesan - 10g
- Rocket - 10g
Bake your Il Uno base and turn 180 degrees halfway through cooking. Remove from the oven and top with your ingredients in the above order.
Premium: Pigs & Figs Pizza
Your favourite platter ingredients on a pizza; we love this one as not only does it look beautiful but it pairs perfectly with a Shiraz - it makes the ideal complement to bring out the sweet and salty elements of the pizza toppings.
- Il Uno Artisan 12” Pumpkin & Carrot Vegetable Pizza Base
- Pizza Sauce or pesto - 1 cup
- Artichoke Hearts - 10g
- Fresh Figs - 30g (3 Figs)
- Prosciutto - 80g
- Rocket- 15g
- Feta Cheese - 15g
Bake your Il Uno base and turn 180 degrees halfway through cooking. Remove from the oven and add your pesto, and layer the ingredients in the above order, then serve!
