Preparation Process

To ensure your Artisan Wraps turn out as amazing, make sure you go through the thawing, softening and flattening process before cooking. 

Equipment that will come in handy:

Thawing Process
Option 1

Allow frozen bases to thaw at room temperature for 30 minutes prior to cooking. 
For best results, leave for no longer than 2 hours.

Option 2

Place frozen bases in chill room or refrigerator overnight. 
For best results, leave for 24-48 hours. Leave no more than 72 hours.

Softening Process 

Microwave bases for approximately 30 seconds to warm and soften.
This ensures your base can be easily flattened and folded.

Flattening Process (Optional)

We recommend flattening your base to smooth and reduce the thickness.  This allows for better foldability in the wrapping process. Only required for selected bases.

Say Cheese! Quesadilla

Say Cheese! Quesadilla using Il Uno Artisan Pumpkin and Carrot Base

Prep Time: 4 Mins | Cook Time: 2 Mins

A deliciously cheesy and crunch filled Quesadilla Wrap is perfect for a light lunch snack. Add this simple yet flavourful dish to your lunch menu and have your guests coming back for seconds!

What you'll need:

    What you do:

      1. Microwave both bases on high for 30 seconds. Flatten bases using a rolling pin whilst warm.
      2. Sprinkle Mozzarella and Feta cheese to the centre of the first base, keeping 4cm away from the edge. Caution: Using excessive cheese may cause overflow and burning when cooked.
      3. Lay the second base directly on top of the first base.
      4. Cook in Sandwich Press on high heat for approximately 3 minutes until golden and crispy.
      5. Cut into 4 and serve.

    Hogs & Kisses Pita Pocket using Il Uno Artisan 9" Plain Bases

    Prep Time: 3.5  Mins | Cook Time: 2 Mins

    Hogs & Kisses is the perfect lunch meal that balances fresh ingredients and filling meats. The light crust of the pita allows the flavours of the pork and creamy coleslaw to take the spotlight. It’s pocket shape means it can be enjoyed wherever you wish.

    What you need:

    What you do:

      1. Microwave both bases on high for 30 seconds.
      2. Cut pizza base in half.
      3. Using each half, carefully cut alongside the opening of the base. Leave 2cm from the edge of the base.
      4. Lightly spread open the pocket created. Fill with Coleslaw and Pulled Pork.
      5. Drizzle BBQ Sauce and Aioli inside the pocket.
      6. Warm in Il Uno Express Oven on temperature 3 for approximately 2 minutes.

    Mex-I-Can Supreme Crunch Wrap using Il Uno Artisan Cauliflower Base

    Prep Time: 3  Mins | Cook Time: 4 Mins

    What you need:

      1. Cut Lettuce and slice Tomatoes.Set aside.

      2. Microwave both bases on high for 30 seconds. Flatten bases using a rolling pin whilst warm.
      3. Lay Crumbled Beef, Mozzarella Cheese, Lettuce, Tomatoes and Beans on centre of base in a 5cm radius.
      4. Fold using the full Crunch Wrap wrapping process.
      5. Cook lightly in Sandwich Press on maximum heat for approximately 4 minutes until golden and crispy.

      6. Securely fold the left and right sides of the base to meet the centre.
